Once again I post
Just thought I would jot down some random thoughts, I have been looking for work it is not easy . Wilkes county is dead, dead business, dead jobs, walking dead people LOL. Any way that is the way it feels, but God is good and he will provide. So for now and always I will trust Him

Beauty in Death
I went walking in a Cemetery today, something I love to do, I came across this really cool quote on a tombstone. "The life of one we love is never lost, its influence goes on through all the lives it ever touched." I thought to myself wow, how neat I want my tombstone to say something similar. I just want to be able to touch the lives around me with love and care. I don't need to be famous or rich, or even live the American dream, I just need to be aware of those around me, help those in need, and live my Life for God. So that even in death there will be beauty.

Thank God
Have you ever woken up, and just thanked God for the day, knowing that it could turn out to be good or bad? Have you thanked Him for your day even if it was bad, and did you remember to thank Him when it was good?
This life is not our own and we need to remember to thank our heavenly father daily for all His benefits. He is a kind and loving father, so each and every day remember to say Thanks dad

The Whole World has a dream
When Martin Luther King Jr. wrote and then gave his famous speech I have a dream, I do not think only black people agreed with him or felt deep in their souls what he was saying. I believe the whole world heard, despite color or race they felt it and dared to dream. Dared to believe that what our great grandparents came over to America for would happen. That freedom of speech would be honored; the freedom to choose to be whatever we wanted no matter who we were or where we came from. I am white and many people discriminate against me for that, blacks, Indians, Mexicans. I know that it goes both ways, but my Great Grandparents came over to this country from Ireland, England, and The Check Republic. One of my great Grandmothers was full blooded Native American, and another grandparent was Canadian French. And I like to believe that they too dreamed, that there would one day be no racial divider, that we would not all live in our own little worlds, and hate each other if we were not the same, and even use words like they are from the wrong side of the tracks. They dreamed, big dreams, dreams that the world would look beyond skin, and race and simply love each other as human beings. No more fighting, hating and endless blood shed, in the beliefs that one race is better then another. Then in my parents life time Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous speech, and I believe all races dreamed. But alas that dream was shot down: or was it. For I too have a dream that we will finally stop all the interracial hate, and simply be humans, that live, work laugh cry and feel pain. And color won’t matter, were you live won’t matter, if you’re a Yankee, or a southerner. The constitution was written for all of us, no matter who we are. We are free to love God, we are free to follow our dreams, so let us really honor our ancestor, and one and for all put behind us the race issue, let us just be Americans, whose ancestors came to this fine country to give us a better life. Who worked themselves to death for us, let us never forget who we are, we are not a race or a color, but human beings made by a God who loves us all not matter what we do. He does not see our skin color He sees our heart, and that is what we need to do, we need to see the heart of the matter, and look beyond the external and look at the internal man. Let us all dream a dream.
Elegance in suffering
Oh to see to know what the future holds, I would ask God but it seems so bold. It’s just I am tired of being in this place of trials, tears and pain; it just feels like it is happing again and again. To know when it would end to know I’ve not lost every friend. To be able to see through the tears, to know I will overcome my fears. It is then in this lowest place I fall to my knees as tears cover my face, and in that moment again God extends His grace. I feel the touch of the nail scared hand, touching and mending my wounded heart, as He gently whispers you and I never need to be apart. Life is hard the journey full of briars, thorns and sorrow. But hold on to me, there is hope for tomorrow.
Season of the Desert
A dry dusty wind, a harsh unrelenting sun, a parched and thirsty land: These are not only conditions of a desert but of a heart and soul. If we are not careful our hearts and souls can stay that way. In fact we can become comfortable being uncomfortable. There are times in all our lives when we go through a season in the desert, but we have to choose to leave, it has to be what we desire. We can wander in the dust and heat, or we can call out to God, ask Him to help us to put all our trust, all our hurts and pains into His safe keeping. It is then that the road out will rise up to meet us. Our souls will again know the meaning of grace and redemption. It is at that moment our dry thirsty hearts will be quenched in a waterfall of deep unending love.
A life worth Living
How do we have a life worth living? Most people would say you need money, a good career, the right house, the nicest car, and the family, complete with spouse and 2 and half kids. This is the American dream, but wait why is everyone so unhappy with this life style? I mean you have money, vacation homes, you go on vacation at least once or twice a year, you are dressed for success, but yet your life is empty. I will tell you why, one if you don;t know Jesus that is the first problem, but I am writing mainly to Christians here. Why do we need to fall into the worlds trap of success? Is it wrong to be successful, no but we need to balance it. So many families only see each other for a couple hours a day after work and school, and they might see each other on Saturday, but often dad works on the weekends and then you go to church but the kids go one direction the parents another. When God asks us at the end of our lives how we lived, He will not be looking at how much money we made, what kind of house we had or how much effort we put into our carrers. He will be looking at our hearts and what is most important to us. Did we spend quaility time with our familys, did we put more stock into helping those we worked with and were we concerned about their lives, or were we more concerned with getting ahead? It is not wrong to work hard and have money, but to have a life worth living we need to be more concerned with serving God and helping those in our path, not with living the standard American dream.
